Comic Con Exclusive Egon Spengler by Mattel: Jay Glatfelter

3 August 2009 2 Comments

At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, there were a lot of great exclusives for the Ghostbusters fan. I got them all and will review them here on YuBlog.org.  First up on the list is Mattel’s first Ghostbusters figure from their MattyCollector.com site the movie version of Egon Spengler with Slimer.

As you can see he looks great! The Four Horsemen did a great job capturing Harold Ramis’ famous spores, molds, and fungus collector.  I have him standing here with Diamond Select’s Stay Puft bank that I will get into on a later post.  I made a short video with all of my thoughts about the figure and the nice details that Mattel brought to the line.  I would say this is a must own for any big Ghostbusters fan. We finally have figures based on the movie we all know and love!  I give this figure a 9 out of 10.

Ok I do have to admit I like the fact that you can take the figure out and not have to rip the package up. That’s great for anyone that likes to take their figures out and just play even once.

Sorry about the random Blokus appearance in Jay’s video. I didn’t realize he was filming :( but I think it adds a healthy touch of random.
