Do we know who Celia is? I have trouble remembering character names sometimes.

    Wow. I am so sad.

Question answered. I really enjoyed this episode. I was good to see more Alex Kingston and see my favorite Cylon. Looks like more Simon next week.

    Wow …

This show went from being good to freaking fantastic in about 5 minutes …

The rules have all changed now … and I am even more invested then I already was …

The writers managed to kill off a main character and leave us with the biggest cliff-hanger of the show so far, all in episode 7

    Hi Colleen, Jay & Jack,

I have been watching FlashForward since the beginning. I love it. I still have V taped on my DVR & have not watched it yet. I heard it is Great… I guess I need to watch V soon.

Wow! I think this changes everything. Dimitre should now realize he is in control of his own destiny. My theory is the “experiment” was designed to hold America hostage or sell it to the govt.

Wowzers! That was crazy awsome! I think my mouth is still hanging open. It seems like on the one hand I knew this was going to happen at some point but just could not believe it when it did!

Wow i cant believe this, that was so awesome :D

it looked like they were finally building his character up, but as soon as he broke down while he was eating his rice, i knew where things were heading, but it was still heart-breaking..

simon’s cameo seemed out of place tho, and i really liked bryce and nicole’s storyline in this episode as well. the last 3 or 4 eps have been top knotch :D

In the preview for next week, Dominic M.’s character was talking about Godhood…couldn’t you just see him saying next, “I’m a bloody rock god!” LOLOLOL

  • Dort said:

So when they showed Simon and he was holding a name bracelet did it say Annabelle ? Was it a child’s bracelet?

So, it seems that the future is not written in stone. Wow! What an episode. I can’t believe they killed off Al, although it did seem to serve a purpose. The question that stuck in my mind, though, is how Al was going to be responsible for Celia’s death. Will the future really change now that he’s dead or will Celia die anyway? If she does, it would be a waste of Al’s life. And, since it appears that you can now change the future, what was the purpose of the flash forwards? Were they truly just a side effect of an experiment (as the previews for next week suggest) or are they some sort of opportunity for people to reorient their lives?

Looking forward to next week’s episode, especially since it looks as though there will be more Dominic Monaghan. He’s an awesome actor.

Keep up the good work, Colleen, Jay, Jack and everyone else!

Wow… what an amazing episode, the best yet!

I did have a ‘crackpot theory’ just as Al was about to jump.. I thought he’d land on Celia, he’d survive (hey if John Locke can!) and she’d be in a coma til April 29th when she’d finally die.

But no, and and I kinda like it that way. Gutted about Al dying but can’t wait to see where it goes from here!

  • Matt said:

Hey an episode that was actually good! I think I’m now cautiously optimistic. They put out a few more like this and it’ll be off notice.

And Rennie was also great as Lew Ashby on Californication last season.

  • BrettR said:

Enough of a game changer to keep me interested in this “well, it’s better than Heroes” show. Unfortunately, the teaser for the next episode cooled my hopes. Still, great episode, great editing (minus getting the shadows wrong post-suicide — continuity problems will inevitably be missed), spot on acting so there is hope for future within and outside of the show.

  • Raph said:

Meh. Interesting cliffhanger but the way it’s written is way too contrived. And is nobody else getting tired of Joseph Fiennes bad acting?

  • Tucker said:

How do we know he died.. I mean its assumed but anything can happen right.

  • Sutton said:

Raph, totally agree on Joseph Fiennes, but I did notice that his character is starting to get a little less screen time, so it doesn’t detract *too* much in some episodes. I still feel like he’s really miscast in this role; Fiennes is a stage actor, not an action star.

I have to say, I’m not loving FlashForward like I thought I would. I *like* the show, and at this point I’m invested in it, but it’s moving along quite slowly, and a lot of scenes that should’ve been really great character-development scenes have totally missed the mark–this week’s scene w/ Dimitri’s big reveal to the fiancee is one example. Still, I’m really into the show’s premise from a philosophical standpoint, and there are some characters I really dig–Olivia, Janis, Lloyd, and Simon–and they’re compelling enough to make me stick around. Looking forward to next week. Hopefully we’ll get some more scoop on Simon and Lloyd’s “experiment.”

  • Colleen (author) said:

Really, you guys think Joseph Fiennes is a bad actor? I actually really like him though some of his deliveries (”I WAS LOADED OKAY!?!”) do crack me up.

  • Colleen (author) said:

Tucker - I assumed he died because they covered his body up when they put it into the ambulance and on the stretcher, which is what they do when it’s a dead body.

  • Alex Stone said:

Al was definitely dead. For him not to be dead it would totally detract from the end of this great episode.

They’ve changed our conceptions of this show and the power people have over their futures.

As far as Feinnes’ acting, I was initially bothered by it, because it did seem very forced, but I’m starting to like his awkwardness. It seems a little more human to me than the typical Jack Bauer (who I love) action star.

  • Michael David said:

Completely agree about Feinnes, he is very hard to watch and distracting. The show is really starting to find its stride and focus on multiple characters.
