Here’s an open discussion for season 1, episode 9 of ABC’s FlashForward, titled “Believe”. Previews set it up to be Bryce-looking-for-his-future-girl centric.

She is so bombing this interview…and dude has cancer
It just occurred to me that Demetri is supposed to die on the 15th of March. “Beware the Ides of March.” If they don’t call that episode, “The Ides of March,” they’re braindead.
Bryce’s road to suicide doesn’t add up for me. Sure, the reasons are all there: brain cancer, nevr feeling like he fit in at work and perhaps in life in general, etc, but I don’t see the emotion.
The ides of March is the day that Brutus betrayed and killed Caesar, if my memory serves me correctly. Can it be inferred that someone close to Demetri will be the one to do him in?
I do think it’s important, though, to remember that the woman who told Demitri about the 15th was completely anonymous. Who’s to say she’s even telling the truth about the date? He should wear kevlar everyday.
OHHH! That’s why the Visitors arrived: to deliver us a ‘Sherlock Holmes’ trailer. It all makes sense.
Sue, I agree. I think that the March 15 date is too just coincidence.

Sue, I don’t disagree with your thought and rather like the idea that someone Demetri knows will betray and murder him. However, though “the Ides of March” harken back to Brutus’s betrayal of Caesar, nowadays it has a more general meaning of foreboding, so I also think it could be as simple as that.
Argh! Damn DVR. I missed the last minute of ‘FlashForward.’ What did Keiko see in her ff?
Okay, I was very convinced that it was going to be a cheesy ending where he saw her at the airport when he was about to leave but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the twist that she went to basically find him in Los Angeles. You can ask Jay, I definitely did about 29 “awwws” and girly squeals. I don’t know what that says about me lol
Neil - Keiko got off the same airplane that Bryce got off on his way back to LA. You then saw her entire FF, which placed her at the restaurant but it showed her walking in. Turns out the restaurant they were in was actually a Los Angeles version of the Japanese restaurant he visited. Jay & I took it as she went to Los Angeles to find him because she knew that’s where they really met.
Oh wow! Thank, Colleen! A vry cool twist indeed. Taking a page from ‘Lost,’ no doubt (and not in a bad way *coughcough*Thatepisodethatshallnotbenamed*coughcough*
By the way, are the present day events in these episodes still following the dates in which the episodes air? As in, the present day of “Believe” takes place on or around Nov 19th, 2009? I thought so but I swore I heard the NSA woman say that the call to Demetri was made months ago.
I loved this ep, it was way better than the last one. It was focused and we got to see some great character development. Somehow I think Dimitri will get to Hong Kong and Mark is an Ahole.
