Hello everyone, I am back and ready to give you another set of reviews for your reading pleasure. We are going to give you a fairly new movie and the other will be one you can check out on DVD.
So first up, we have The Road directed by John Hillcoat and stars Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron. It is based on the novel written by Cormac McCarthy, which I haven’t read, so I am strictly basing this review on the film version. It’s a film about a father and his son as they try to survive after some event that wiped out most of the population. They don’t get into any sort of back story as to what happens, so you can try…
In my life I have been to Walt Disney World at least twenty times, as a child, a teen, a married twenty-something and now as a parent. I want to try a give a fairly broad view and my thoughts on rides, food and accommodations. This will in no way be an in depth guide but just my view of the resort. I have stayed both inside and out of the resort, but in recent years I’ve been exclusively inside. I’ll break down break down my thoughts by hotels/accommodations, parks, and food.
Accommodations
I will start by saying that Disney has definitely made it less appealing to stay outside of their resort complex in recent years. First parking is now $14 a day…
This morning I received a message on my cable box notifying me that on Tuesday, February 2nd, the same day that LOST will premiere, a software update will occur that may impact scheduled recordings. I don’t know if this update is just for my area of Connecticut, but just in case I urge all LOST fans who use Comcast DVRs to double check their recordings on February 2nd to make sure that they are still there.
On Friday, January 22nd, Conan O’Brien said good bye to the Tonight Show after only a 7 month run. He also to NBC, the network that he called home for 17 years. Conan made it clear that although he and the network had their differences for the past two weeks, that NBC had been his home for the past 17 years where he worked on Late Night since 1993 and Saturday Night Live before that. The final episode was filled with emotion. Although we will all miss Conan on The Tonight Show, it would be very unlikely that we have seen the last of him. There have been rumors that Fox or Revision3 would pick up Conan, and although Conan has yet to confirm any deal…
I know I have invited debate in the past over my political posts, however here I ask that commentators save their articles for Colleen’s article. This post will be my feelings on the issue; I invite comments but this will not be a debate post. My debates will return so if you guys are missing them (all one of you), don’t worry they will return.
This health care bill is the most important issue of the century. Debate over this represents a fight between corporate greed and the people who are taken advantage of by this greed. Whatever happens here will determine whether corporations can continue to abuse and murder or if the people will rise up and say enough is…
From the AP: Scott Brown defeats Martha Coakley in Mass. Senate race for the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s seat. He will become 41st Republican in Senate.
Discuss. I smell another healthcare debate coming on.

Tonight is the 4th episode of Season 3 of Chuck titled “Chuck Vs. Operation Awesome”. It’s - you guessed it - Captain Awesome centric and despite the previews completely spoiling us last week, we’re still excited. Guest stars include Angie Harmon and Brandon Routh. Leave any comments about this episode down below!
It was a night of shockers at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards, with Avatar walking away the biggest winner of the night, with Best Picture (Drama) and Best Director for James Cameron.
Robert Downey Jr took home the Best Actor in a Comedy for Sherlock Holmes, in what was one of the happiest surprises of the night for me - if I was a betting man I’d have had money on Daniel Day Lewis - before Jeff Bridges deservingly took Best Actor in a Drama.
In television, Glee, nominated for four awards managed to scrape just one - but it was the biggest: Best Comedy/Musical Television Series, and that was quite enough to put a smile on my face (even if Jane Lynch was COMPLETELY robbed.…
