Why FlashForward Should Just Give Up: James Gordon
FlashForward, the show that both the network and fans hoped would fill the gap from Lost’s impending end has simply failed to do so. Following on from what I will concede was a spectacular pilot, the show failed to perform on even close to that standard in the following episodes, with acting and plot both sub standard in a show which hoped to gain a large following.
It hemorrhaged viewers like there was no tomorrow, and it wasn’t long before Showrunner Mark Guggenheim stood down, leaving David Goyer in charge of the reins.
After the show went on its midseason hiatus writers room trouble has delayed its come back, and today Goyer himself has stood down as show runner, without an official announcement on who will take over.
On a show less than half way through its first season, to have lost so many viewers, to have lost key creative staff and to have completely lost the plot to boot, I cannot help but feel it may be time for the crew to throw in the towel and admit they simply are not onto a winner here.
So this is my plea to the writers/producers: Wrap this season, give it a decent finale, and leave it there. Don’t try and pull it to a second season. Just give up, and maintain your dignity.

Aw snap!
Sadly, I have to agree. I was hoping it would be better than it is but it just isn’t. The most disappointing thing for me is the weak acting. I’m sure J Feinnes is a fine stage actor but he is terrible on TV also there is no character to care about. Anyone could die and it would not matter. Wrap up the story and end the season and series properly.
