Somewhat positive news: V may still be in for a renewal after all.
FlashForward is done, but V may be saved just yet.
Reasons:
1. ABC doesn’t want to give the ax to too many 1 hour scripted dramas. With Lost, FF, and now Happy Town off the schedule, that might be too many hours to plug in for next year.
2. Where FlashForward’s ratings are downright awful, V’s are just “bad.” The only reason for it’s certain cancellation was that the ratings kept dropping, and doing so drastically.
3. The cast for FF costs a lot more than does the cast for V.
4. So does the budget. Most of what V does is green screen (ugh, as if we couldn’t tell), and while I’m not sure what kind of cost the graphics department comes with (shouldn’t be more than a few bucks if we’re going by what we see visually), but I’m positive it’s cheaper than shooting where FF does.
Sure, V’s ratings dropped quite a bit more without Lost as a lead-in last week, but I’m just trying to find some hope for V fans. It looks like the “likely cancelled” tag was accurate, but it didn’t take these other things into consideration.
I honestly wouldn’t expect a season 3, unless it does great on DVD (unlikely), but a season 2 may be in store. You’ll have something to do, Jay & Jack!
starting to think most V’s arent as ruthless as Anna. And it simply that Anna just a crazy BLEEP. Sense the other V’s seem to react strongly to her and shock. I think there only unemotional in the sense they value logic over emotions…like Vulcans. Vulcans ingore emotion but they didnt go around crushing babies like a crazy person
Think the other ships out to take out Anna like like people say….but the humans not out of the woods. Think while they want to take out Anna…humans not thier TOP priorty. Anna had to be a big enough threat to send an army of ships after her. They may be content with some Human casulties if she a threat to a bunch of planets. Needs of the many and all that
