Discuss: “Lost” Ep. 6.6 “Sundown”

It’s time to share our questions, comments, and theories about this week’s episode of Lost, called “Sundown”.  We’re sensing a lot more about Sayid, Clairsseau, and the sickness.  And hopefully a lot more of whoever is in the Locke suit!

P.S. Check out the exclusive pictures we put up earlier today of Naveen Andrews on the Red Carpet for Sunset on the Beach.

Warning: This post WILL contain spoilers, so if you haven’t watched Lost yet, you will be spoiled!

Your Privacy Doesn’t Exist, but Wait… It Does!

Guess what? You don’t have privacy.

You’ve probably heard about privacy in the news or about Google Buzz sharing your information with other people or Facebook policies.  You’ve probably heard someone say, ”My information’s not safe” or about a mother that thinks her children are being stalked, etc…

I’ll bite the bullet on this one and probably get a lot of negative feed back, but I think that it’s necessary to share my opinion on the Internet regarding privacy.  Quite simply, I think you and I have none…sort of.

If you’re reading this, chances are (like me) you have several accounts from Facebook to Gmail and your reach might go all the way to MySpace or Friendster. You may have a YouTube account, a couple of credit…

Justice is (Supposed) to Be Blind: Michael Kirschner

There has been some recent controversy the possibility that the trial of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four alleged accomplices, will take place in a civilian court in my home state of New Haven, Connecticut.  There are some who say that the trial is taking place to close to the sight of the crime, and there are others, who believe that terrorists do not deserve a civilian trial.  Sarah Palin was quoted as saying in a recent speech, “I don’t think the terrorists are worthy of our rights.”  Our justice system was created to give an impartial and fair trial to everyone, even the most despised of our society, hence the saying “justice is blind.” If we allow our emotions to…

An Open Letter to Jaimee Grubbs: Colleen McAllister

Tiger Woods is expected to give a formal apology for his “actions” (cheating on his wife with around 15 different women) today in Florida at 11am EST.  This is all fine and dandy for Tiger, his wife Elin and his 2 young children; all opinions aside, they have the right to their privacy and to handle what happened outside of media scrutiny.

What bothers me is something that I also find both absolutely hilarious and quite offensive.  Jaimee Grubbs, Tiger’s mistress number 2 (maybe? I can’t keep track) has made headlines - even here in London, where I saw it first) because she demands an apology from Tiger for cheating on HER with several other women.  Are you serious?!  Here’s what I’d…

@ThatKevinSmith Goes Overboard: Michael David

Last night Kevin Smith decided he was wronged by Southwest Air and took a hatchet to them via Twitter.  Apparently, from his side of the story, he was asked to purchase a second seat because of his size, after already being seated.  I have empathy for the embarrassment he may have felt and not being there I can’t say if it was handled properly or not,  but I do agree with the policy of having people who are too large for one seat pay for two.  When I fly with my son, who is still eligible to ride on a lap, I buy a seat for him. Why? Because I feel it is completely inconsiderate to have someone sit next to me…
