Sean @ Comic Con: The End

When we last left off, I was on my way back to my uncle’s house at the wee hours of the morning on Saturday. Well, I arrived at his house and got a few hours of sleep and then headed right back, just to get in line for Hall H, for the big Lost panel that day.  So I find a parking spot, call up some people and the plan is for me to get in line and they will eventually find me. So I get in line and it’s not too long. I see numerous people wearing the Dharma jumpsuits and the doctor’s white coats too. You gotta love Comic Con. So slowly, the rest of the crew shows up…

Sean @ Comic Con Friday: Sean Olsen

So when we last left the story, I have had two great days of Comic Con and that was even before I hit Friday and Saturday, the two busiest days of the Con. And Friday would be the day I would finally check out the famous Hall H.

So Friday morning, I wake up, grab my things and meet up with John, Matt, Katie and Steve. We head off to the line for Hall H. It was actually not that bad, but Steve got a hold of one of the TRS guys and we got in line with them.  While we were waiting in line with met up with the two folks from geeks of doom and then Peter from /film. So…

Exclusive Pictures of the Lost Auction: Cesar Altamirano

Once again, very special thanks to Cesar Altamirano for his amazing, high quality pictures from Comic Con 2009.  Here’s his photos from the Lost Auction, including Walt’s Milk Carton (mentioned on The Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack), Sawyer’s glasses, Dharma Beer, and more!  Which of these things would YOU bid on?  I’d personally bid on the Dharma Beer, though I imagine it’d taste sorta like Miller Lite but don’t ask me why.  What do you think?

So Thursday is the first official day of Comic Con, and after all of the fun of Preview Night, would the first day live up to the previous day?

So here we go, I headed to the convention center and got right in, and I headed off to my first panel of the day, Astro Boy. I have to say that I was sort of interested in seeing this movie going into the Con, but after seeing some footage, I think I may pass. I was never a huge fan of Astro Boy, seen a few episodes, but they really are going to have their hands full with this movie. From some of the info and questions during the panel, it…

Special thanks once again to our good friend, photographer Cesar Altamirano, for letting us publish his professional pictures from Comic-Con 2009.  Here are some exclusive, high quality photos of Lost actors Jorge Garcia (Hurley), Michael Emerson (Benjamin Linus), and Josh Holloway (Sawyer) during their little skits at the Lost panel on Saturday, July 25, 2009.

(Side note: If you haven’t seen it yet, a video of the panel can be found here at our sister site, Nudia.tv)

So I am back and starting to get back into my normal work schedule, so I figured I have some extra time today to start writing about my adventure. So here we go…

First off, I travel by standby, we get deals on flying through work, and I have to say that this time was something I will not forget. I can’t really complain, it comes with the whole standby thing. So anyways, I arrived at the Milwaukee airport early Monday morning, got on the first flight out of Milwaukee to Denver, so things were looking good. Well that is when it went all wrong, I ended up being bumped 5 times before I finally got a seat, and I landed…

Here’s part one of YuBlog.org’s pictures from the Lost Podcast with Jay & Jack Panel at Comic Con 2009.  Thanks to Adam McLearan for his awesome photos!  As you can see, the room was double capacity and they still managed to fit everyone in!  Special thanks to Jana & Kenneth, whose crowd-control handiwork is on display in some of these pictures.

Does anyone think that this is what the crew of the Black Rock would look like if they were from the future?

I want to first off just say that Comic Con 2009 was absolutely amazing! It was my first time there and I had no idea what to expect. (Although Jay, Jack, and Colleen’s Guide to Comic Con video on Nudia.tv did help tremendously.)

Now as for the Browncoats meeting, I didn’t exactly know what that entailed either.  The description in the Comic Con guide said that fans of Firefly and Serenity were welcome to join the California Browncoats and I knew for sure I was a huge fan so there was no way I was missing this meeting.  I arrived there a few minutes early and they were handing out tickets for a trivia game they were gonna play.  There were maybe over 100 people…
